Jane Walker
Jane was ordained priest in 2015 and served her curacy at Manchester Cathedral and in the benefice of Gorton with Abbey Hey. She was licensed to serve at Holy Innocents in 2019. As a non-stipendiary or self-supporting priest Jane also works full time as a barrister specialising in children’s cases where she appears on behalf of local authorities, parents and children themselves in courts around the country, though primarily in the North West. For leisure Jane enjoys watching her beloved Manchester United (reflecting a perfectly balanced clergy team given the Rector supports that other team from Manchester) walking her dog, reading, photography, spending time with her adult sons, and the occasional run. Richard Young Richard was ordained back in 1997 as a non-stipendiary priest, spending time initially at Christ Church, Brunswick. After spells as a volunteer hospital chaplain and doing odd jobs around Manchester Diocese, he became Rector of Holy Innocents in April 2018. In his day job he has spent 35 years making and managing venture capital investments and is now semi-retired. When not working he spends time with his new grandson Harry and also reading, watching weird indy films and yes, is a Man City fan. He is kept real by his wife Sheenagh, who runs a credit union, and young by his 3 adult daughters. |
